How to read today’s Panchang

This daily guide shows the Panchang limbs, weekday, Paksha, sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset for the selected place. The five traditional limbs are Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, and Vara (weekday). The day’s Panchang values are sampled at local sunrise; times are displayed in IST.

Common questions

Why can the Tithi change during the day?

Tithi is based on the angular distance between the Sun and Moon. It can change at any time, so the page includes its calculated end time.

Why does location matter?

Sunrise and sunset depend on the selected coordinates. Panchang and Muhurat timings therefore use the selected location while displaying clock times in IST.

What does “ends” mean?

It is the estimated IST time when that Panchang limb transitions to the next one.
